Lego Saturdays

Come hang out at the library and build with Legos. Every week there’s a different challenge to meet, or build whatever your imagination can create! Drop in between 10:30-1:30 p.m. every Saturday. Lego Saturdays is for all ages. Children under the age of 8 need a caregiver present

Game Day

On Wednesday, August 24, at 2:45 p.m., join us in playing a variety of games all over the library, from New Playground to Chess. For ages 6-16.

Toddler Time

Join us for Toddler Time every 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Thursday of the month a 10:15 a.m. For ages 0-3.

Mah-Jongg

Every Thursday at 1:30 p.m. join us in learning to play the game, Mah-Jongg. 

Beginners are welcome. For adults. 

Back to School

On Tuesday, August 25, at 10:15 a.m., join us for a storytime about going back to school! For ages 3-6. 

Fish

On Wednesday, August 26th, at 2:45 p.m., Kylie Holdorf, O'Brien County Naturalist, will be educating us about Iowa's fish as well as doing a craft. For ages 6-11. 

S.E.L.F

On Tuesday, August 27, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., join our O'Brien County Naturalist, Kylie Holdorf to learn about flies and mosquitos. For Seniors

Storytime-To-Go Kits

Pick up a storytime-to-go kit with early literacy activities and crafts for ages 3-6. New kits are available on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of the month. Kits are available every day. 

Sports Storytime

Get in the game by joining us for this storytime all about sports!  Tuesday, September 1st at 10:15 a.m.

Steam, Birdhouses

Join us after school to build and decorate bird houses.  For ages 6-16.  Wednesday, September 2nd at 2:30 p.m.

Labor Day

The library will be closed on Labor Day.

Storytime Crayons

Join us for a storytime centered around some really cool crayons!  For ages 3-6.  Tuesday, September 8th at 10:15 a.m.

Crafternoon Flowers

Stop in and do a variety of crafts centered around flowers.  For ages 6-16.  Wednesday, September 9th at 2:30 p.m.

Game Night

Join us on the second Monday of each month at 6:00 p.m. for our monthly game night. For all ages.

September Book Club

The book for September is The Giver of Stars by Jojo Moyes.  We will meet, Monday, September 21st at 6:30 pm to discuss this book.  For ages 16 and up.

Kylie's Fall Equinox

Learn all about the fall equinox and how humans and animals respond to seasons changing.  Kylie Holdorf, our O'Brien County Naturalist, will lead this session.  For ages 6-11.

Senior Environmental Learning and Fellowship ( S.E.L.F.), Life on the Prairie

Join Kylie Holdorf, our O'Brien County Naturalist, to learn all about life on the prairie, followed by conversation and treats.  For Seniors.  Thursday, September 24th from 10-11 a.m.

How Money Works Workshop

Learn all about budgeting, managing debt effectively, saving for your goals, and building long-term financial confidence in this free workshop led by Jessica Henninger, a financial advisor with Primerica.  For adults.  Monday, September 28th at 6 p.m.

Explore the great outdoors with us in this storytime, which is all about camping.  For ages 3-6.  Tuesday, September 29th at 10:15 p.m.
