Lego Saturdays

Every Saturday, between 10:30-1:30 p.m., come hang out at the library and build with Legos. Every week there’s a different challenge to meet, or build whatever your imagination can create! Lego Saturdays is for all ages. Children under the age of 8 need a caregiver present

Storytime Camping

On Tuesday, September 29th at 10:15 p.m., explore the great outdoors with us in this camping-themed storytime. For ages 3-6.
Crafternoon Perler Beads

On Wednesday, September 30th at 2:30 p.m., join us after school to have some fun with Perler beads! For ages 6-16.
Toddler Time

On the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Thursday of October at 10:15 a.m., join us for a storytime, crafts, and playtime at library! For ages 0 – 3.
Makerspace

On Monday, October 5th, at 3:45 p.m., the library will have a Makerspace for ages 6-16. Join us after school to have some fun and make Marble Runs!
Reading Dragon Registration

Starting October 5th, you can register for Reading Dragons on Beanstack. This activity is for children, Kindergarten through 12th grade.
Dragon Storytime

On Tuesday, October 6th at 10:15 a.m., join us for this fun story time all about dragons! For ages 3 – 6.
Fire Safety Storytime

On Tuesday, October 6th at 1:30 p.m., Join us at the library for a storytime all about fire safety and then to visit the Fire Station! All ages are welcome.
Crafternoon

On Wednesday, October 7th @ 2:30 p.m., join us after school to make Halloween-themed stress balls and decorations for the library. For ages 6 – 16.
Storytime-To-Go Kits

Pick up a storytime-to-go kit with early literacy activities and crafts for ages 3-6. New kits are available on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of the month. Kits are available every day.
Game Day

On Monday, October 12th at 3:45 p.m., join us after school to play a variety of games throughout the library from the Nex Playground to traditional board games like chess. For ages 6 – 16.
Game Night

Join us on the second Monday of each month at 6:00 p.m. for our monthly game night. For all ages.
Autumn Storytime

On Tuesday, October 13th at 10:15 a.m., join us for this fun story time all about the changing season! For ages 3 – 6.
Pumpkin Decorating Contest

On Wednesday, October 14th at 2:30 p.m., stop in and decorate some pumpkins for Halloween. We will have a contest displaying them and the winner will get a prize! Pre-Registration for this event is required. For ages 6 - 16.

On Wednesday, October 21st at 2:30 p.m., Kylie Holdorf, O’Brien Co. Naturalist, will join us to teach us about spiders. For ages 6 to11.
Senior Environmental Learning and Fellowship (S.E.L.F)

On Thursday, October 22nd from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., join our O’Brien County Naturalist, Kylie Holdorf, to learn all about crows, magpies, and jays followed by conversation and treats. For Seniors.
STEAM

On Monday, October 26th at 3:45 p.m., drop in after school to explore all the fun you can have with dominoes. For ages 6 – 11.
Bake and Share

On Monday, October 26th at 6:00 p.m., join us for our first, Bake and Share. Everyone attending must bring 1 baked good, preferably a dessert, per person or family. Please bring your recipe card so you can share your recipe with other participants. For adults.
Pumpkin Storytime

You can come to our Spooktacular Storytime in costume if you wish. It is on Thursday, October 29th at 10:15 am. Ages 0-6 are welcome.

On Friday, October 30th at 4:30 p.m., stop in at the library during downtown trick-or-treat for some non-food goodies! All ages

Sheldon Public Library is open Monday from 9:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. On Tuesday through Friday, we are open from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. On Saturdays, we are open from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., and on Sundays, we are closed.
